Now in its 20th year, the BIO5 Institute's KEYS Research Internship offers motivated Arizona high school students a seven-week summer opportunity to explore interdisciplinary bioscience research at the University of Arizona.

The 2026 program runs June 1 – July 18, giving interns hands-on experience in bioscience methods and techniques, mentorship from university scientists, and opportunities to connect with peers who share their curiosity and passion for discovery.

Interns will:

  • Gain training in modern bioscience techniques
  • Apply classroom learning to real-world research
  • Work with mentors on active research projects
  • Build professional and academic connections
